Shannon Fagan Photography将主办 青年摄影师联盟暑期辅导项目 ，拍摄地点是在北京市区内的影棚及写字楼等室内场景，现场会邀请专业模特，由Shannon做示范，你在进修结束前会以小组为单位独立拍摄，是非常难得的机会。同时，我们也是为了将来的长期合作发掘有潜力的摄影师。即使你是在校生，也可以定期来作实习、兼职摄影师。

Shannon 曾为玛格南图片社工作，几乎每年都有成功的获奖作品以及相关的展览，曾与宝马、花旗银行等著名企业及《纽约客》《PDN》等美国权威杂志有过合作。学生们 将在项目中学习到几大商业摄影必需技能，它们皆来自于Shannon多年来丰富的业内经历及经验技巧的总结。

We are Announcing the 2011 Western Commercial Lifestyle Photography Workshop In-Conjunction with the YPA Mentoring Program

After many meetings with photographers, photo agencies, and photography students here in China, my project manager Gan Chao and I have developed a workshop and mentoring program for the summer in Beijing.  We are very excited to introduce this mentoring program in 2 summer sessions (convenient for students traveling out of Beijing for part of their vacation) and look forward to teaching emerging creative professionals a variety of topics in photography and photo production.  These topic items are ones that students have repeatedly identified that they would like to learn during our in-depth focus group meetings at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT), the Beijing Film Academy (BFA), and the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA).

Western Partnerships
We are working in partnership with The Young Photographers Alliance from New York City (for which I am on the Board of Advisors), and The American Society of Media Photographers (for which I am Chairperson of the Stock Imaging License Committee).  Students will attend real photo shoots in the Beijing area and work with international teams in tandem from the West.

Scholarships
Operating a summer mentoring program and workshop does not come without costs.  However, we are offering up to 8 tuition-free scholarships to attend each summer session.  Application details are provided on the website link.

Uniqueness of the Competition
This is not a creative portfolio merit program and that makes it very unique.  We will reward the best applicants for work ethic, job experience, desire to learn, and creative intelligence.  We will base our group decision for winners upon the merit of their application, experience, and potential for the future; and not just their photography work.  We will work one-on-one for an entire month with those that attend.

Request for Assistance to Share
Would you be so kind as to help us promote this workshop/mentoring program?  Perhaps you know some very eligible candidates who would benefit from a summer training program and who would add diversity and strength to our team leadership.  We will create job opportunities for our participants and we consider the mentoring program as an intensive month-long career planning seminar and interview.  Our contacts in the Western industry for photography are extensive and unparalleled in China.  We cannot wait to share our expertise and Western relationships with those that apply and attend.
